The male couplers of this kit are push type so it is very fast and easy to connect these couplers with other accessories. Unfortunately, the female couplers are not push-type.
These plugs and couplers come in a solid, durable storage case. The case makes it easier for you to store the couplers and plugs in an organized way so that you can quickly find your required one whenever you need it.
For a better grip, the sleeves of these fittings have knurling. This helps to easily connect and disconnect these fittings. You can use them with air compressors, nailers, blowguns, etc.

This is a ColorFit by Milton Coupler & Plug Kit which is M-style and its color is red. This kit has both male and female plugs and female couplers. These plugs and couplers are compatible with tools that require M-style fittings. These are also compatible with any other M-style couplers and plugs, both from Milton or any other brands.
The plugs and couplers in this kit are quite durable because of the patent-pending design with a steel sleeve. These are also scratch-resistant because of the steel body. Each of the fittings is coated with aluminum to resist corrosion.
These couplers and plugs are suitable for both lubricated and non-lubricated lines. These are also suitable for both high and low pressure. But keep in mind that do not exceed the pressure over 300 PSI.

All the components in this kit are made of brass. This is why these are highly resistant to corrosion. These are very durable, long-lasting, and lightweight. You can use these couplers for heavy-duty operations.
This kit contains rotatable couplers. If the coupler is non-rotatable it causes the hose to twist. This eventually breaks the hose. You don’t want that to happen, do you? This is why you need this kit of rotatable couplers.

Types Of Air Compressor Fittings (Plugs & Couplers) & Their Use
I am done with my reviews of the best air compressor fittings. In the reviews, you have seen that I have talked about plugs and couplers of different types of styles (i.e. M-style or Type D).
If you don’t know about these types already, this part is for you. Here I will talk about all these types and what they mean.
Basically, there are 4 types of plugs and each one has a corresponding coupler. The types are shown below in a table.

In the table, you can see that according to the style, there are 4 types of plugs and couplers. The V-style fittings and couplers have no general name or type defined. However, each one has its unique color to distinguish one from the other.
Now, there are two important points you have to keep in mind.
- A-style, T-style, and M-style couplers and plugs are used for general air tools. But V-style couplers and plugs are used for high volume requirements (i.e. HVLP equipment).
- V-style couplers will accept A-style, M-style, or T-style plugs. But V-style plugs won’t be accepted by the other types of couplers.
Things to Consider Before Buying Air Compressor Fittings
Here are the facts that you should keep in mind while purchasing air compressor fitting:
The Connection Type
For easy and quick connection, a push/pull type fitting is always better. When you are about to purchase a set of plugs and couplers, remember to pick the set where there are push/pull type fittings and couplers. This will save you time and these are comparatively easier to connect.
The material of The Fitting
There are different metals or metal alloys used to make air compressor couplers and fittings. But the best ones are made of either brass or steel. Both these alloys are strong, durable, and corrosion-resistant. So always choose a kit of fittings and couplers that are made of either brass or steel.
Guarded Sleeve
Most of the couplers and fittings break or fail due to fatigue failure in the sleeves. If the sleeves are guarded, then the risk of this failure reduces to a significant amount. This is why I recommend purchasing a set of couplers and fittings with guarded sleeves.
Compatibility with Work
Different types of fittings and couplers are suitable for different works and tools. For example, if your work includes a high flow of fluid, it is recommended to use V-style couplers and plugs.
